Things went great for about a month with gDiapers.
Then Bridger started having leaks on the upper thigh, near the velcro tab.
How on earth did pee get all the way up there?
I read their blog and spoke to customer service.
They suggested we loosen the velcro tabs.
By doing that we were making sure the pouch was secure around his legs.
This keeps the pee inside.
So that was great and we stopped having leaks.
Then they started again.
So we called them back.
We were told our detergent was wrong.
So we "stripped"the cloth inserts by boiling them a couple times.
Some soap residue did come out and we ordered Charlie's Soap. (Based on this chart.)
But by now I'm wondering if he just needs the next size.
But he is only 11 pounds and the small should last him til 14 pounds.
But after the stripping and using Charlie's Soap, we haven't had any leaks as long as we change him every 1.5-2 hours.
The second time we spoke to gDiapers, Nate did the talking.
He is the kind of person that isn't afraid of letting customer service know he is upset.
He loves confrontation. I don't. It makes me uncomfortable!
So I love letting him worry with this kind of thing.
Especially when he gets free things out of it.
Because he was so upset with the cloth inserts, they told us they were sending one package of 40 flushable inserts.
What actually came was four packages of 40 biodegradable/flushable inserts!
So we won't be buying diapers for awhile.
Thanks gDiapers for being so nice!
My opinion on the biodegradable/flushable inserts so far is that they might be a little more absorbent than the cloth.
All in all,
SCORE on the free flushables!!!
ReplyDeletePenelope definitely moved up a size way before she was 14 pounds. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are liking the diapers! The more I've used them, the more I want to use them for my own babies! :)
