This morning

Because every post needs a photo. Diamond Fork Canyon last weekend.

So really...Instagram has eaten my blog. Sigh. It's just too easy. But since Nate and I switched phones today so he can use mine for the maps, I'll do a quick post just for old time's sake ;)

This morning we are watching the leaves dance in the chilly air.
We are making apple chips for the first time.
And listening to Justin Nozuka.

Currently reading Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. I'm enjoying the positive stories of natural childbirth. (But I'll admit, there is some weeeeird stuff in there). I like that many of these women didn't practice a certain method or philosophy during pregnancy, they simply trusted their bodies and had supportive people around them at the time of birth. I'm finding my "you can do it!" attitude. Also searching for a good doula. Know of one?

I help keep an almost daily blog for Eagle Condor Humanitarian.

The interns who are on site in Peru email me little updates on certain children or activities and I post it.

I love learning about all the creative ways they are helping the kids.

Most of the children that ECH aims to influence are orphans, abandoned children or those who have little means to educate themselves.

I love being a part of something that is truly influencing those who really need it.

ECH has a variety of ways to help the poor, including microloans to families.

If you have the ability, donate to Eagle Condor Humanitarian.

They have a cool program where you can "sponsor a child" for a specific amount of time (or on-going) and then hear updates about that child and where your money is going.

Nate and I are starting a small monthly donation to help the kids at La Aldea (where I served last summer) to help start a tutoring program for the older kids there.

Can't wait to learn more on how it goes!

Back to the USA.

Back to work.

And back to school.

I have to read Hamlet by Monday.

Oh and write a paper on it.

So in my reading (via Sparknotes), I found this gem:

P.S. Update: I finished Hamlet. I am sorry to all the Shakespeare enthusiasts out there, but that was just terrible.
